The last Friday night hike of 2025 took place last weekend with an annual hike on Lugnaquilla from Ballinabarney Gap. Ten of us completed the 11km in two groups, then enjoyed plenty of Christmas goodies just below the trig point, where we were more sheltered from the wind. There were great chats and catch-ups along the way.
The final Sunday hike of the year took place near Mount Leinster, with Ann leading the walk from Ballycrystal to the mast in misty conditions.
Many thanks to all the leaders who guided the various walks throughout the year. We hope the club continues to go from strength to strength in 2026. Thank you as well to everyone who joined the walks, whatever the weather. Also a thank you to all our new members - we’re delighted to have you with us.
