This weekend, the Blackstairs Challenge took place. Well done to Adam, Corina, Denis, John, Sean and Tommy on completing the 33km challenge.
The weather conditions were mixed throughout the earlier part of the day, with fog, rain and hail especially on Blackstairs Mountain, but thankfully the sun eventually appeared and it was a beautiful afternoon to finish the walk.
A big thank you to the Wayfarers Mountaineering Club for organising such a great event, and to all volunteers who helped make the day a success. Thank you also to Celina Byrne.

Sunday’s hike was led by Tony, starting from Currabut Gap, through the woods at Killbrannish, and on to Mount Leinster by the Clody river. The group then made their way back down via the Black Banks. Thank you to Tony and thanks to Lily and Michael for the photos.
