Dear Walking Colleague, This year's Carlow Autumn Walking Festival has changed dates to coincide with an international Gathering Walking event being held by Blackstairs Ramblers and Tullow Mountaineering Club. The formula remains the same however - great walks (A, B and C options) led by experienced local guides, a stunning landscape both in the Blackstairs and along the lovely Barrow Way, a warm welcome and excellent accommodation, all making for a relaxing Autumn break. RTĒ's well-known biologist Eanna Nī Lamhna, will be leading a B walk on Saturday 14th September while there will also be daily canoeing safari trails with Go-With-the-Flow River Adventures and Bike and Hike opportunities with Waterside Guesthouse in Graiguenamanagh. We find these options work well for visitors who like to walk on one day and experience the river from a different perspective on the second day. A range of special accommodation breaks are featured within the enclosed publication while an on-line reservation system has been introduced for 2013. We have almost 20 walks over the weekend with a number of themed options also, so we are confident there is a walk to whet everybody's appetite. To win free tickets to this festival please like our page ''Carlow Tourism'' on Facebook and watch out next week for our Facebook competition. If you have any questions please contact us at 059-91-30411 or www.carlowtourism.com for more info. Kind Regards, Carlow Tourism T:059-91-30411 W:carlowtourism.com E: [email protected] Please note that the club AGM is in Carlow Rowing Club on Friday 27th September at 8pm. All are welcome.
